so i hate to say it, but i'm totally not feeling the whole xanga thing...i like to read other people's xanga sites, but personally i find the whole posting thing to lack a lot of the excitement i was expecting...i had such high hopes for this, too...it is a little unfortunate.  maybe i'm just not interesting enough to care about writing about my own life...maybe subconsciously i feel that it is a little self-centered and egotistical...maybe i'm just not that interested.  i don't know....

people say i need to post something on my xanga site, so they can post comments...so....here is my first official post...i must say i'm at a bit of a loss.  what do i say???  this isn't like a journal or anything, so i don't want to get too personal...but i don't have many xanga-friends, so i obviously want to write something that will attract some more attention, right???  maybe???  i guess i'll just start typing....

so, i went to work today...to my super-stimulating (mind-numbing), incredibly challenging (i can do this in my sleep) job as human resources generalist for the marine corps community services aboard marine corps base quantico.  what does an HR generalist do, you ask.  well, generally...everything!  recruit, interview, hire, fire, counsel, administer benefits, etc....you get the picture.  after my amazingly productive day at work, i hauled my tush over to the gym for a grueling hour of spin class.  at the end of class, i drug my tired self to my car and set out on my long journey home.  lucky for me, earlier today they predicted a winter storm so all of virginia flipped out and left for home around 2 this afternoon.  why does this make me lucky?  well, i'll tell you!  instead of sitting on i-95 for my normal 45 min-1 hour commute home, it only took me 1/2 an hour!  it was amazing!  i only hit the breaks twice!  my fastest late-rush-hour commute in history!  ahhh...the simple things in life.  now i'm home...chillin' with the rox-star and watching 'giganto: the real king kong' on the history channel while writing my first official post to my first official xanga site.

i've done all i can today...jonathan and amy...i better have comments from each of you by the time i get home tomorrow!
